Except my car. Nobody was hurt although the kids were pretty scared. I will probably never make another u-turn again. The car that hit me came out of nowhere, and soon disappeared. I'm so glad that my friend Angie was there to help out. I don't know what I would have done without her there to help me with the kids and the jitters.
I was following Angie to another friends home so the kids could all play. We passed the street we were supposed to turn on, so Angie made a u-turn, and I (tried to) follow her. I looked over my shoulder and I didn't see anyone there, so I started to turn, and about half way through the turn, a black car slammed into me. I have no idea where he came from. He had to have been going pretty fast to put that kind of damage in my car. It looks worse in person than it does in the pictures. One of the witnesses talked to the guy that hit me. He told her that he was going to move his car out of the way, and he did, but then he just kept driving, and never came back. Angie and the other witness helped me get the kids out of my car and into Angie's car while we waited for the police to arrive. I'm sure the car will be a total loss. The frame looks bent, even in these pictures. It was a good (paid for) car.
At least now we know what to buy with our bonus check.
Really, we are all fine. I'm sure I'll be sore in the morning, but I'm not hurt, and I'm especially grateful that the kids are okay.

Wow, I'm glad you are all ok. That looks pretty bad.
I guess the Hancock children have bad luck with cars lately...
Oh my goodness! So glad you are safe!
Scary! I'm glad no one was hurt. I can't believe that that jerk just took off!
Holy Cow! That looks awful. Especially with two kids in the car and what a jerk to drive away!!!! I was in a similar accident. We rolled over and slid off the road. Koby was a baby and I had to unbuckle him while he was hanging upside down and then climb out the back. I was a nervous wreck. Anyway, to this day, I will not make the same type of turn. Like you said.. the car came out of nowhere!! So glad you're all okay!
YIKES!!! so happy you are all okay!!
Oh my gosh, Kara, how scary!!! I'm so glad that you are all alright - I think that's my biggest fear - getting hit like that with the kids in the car. I hope they're handling it well.
What a punk for driving off! Ugh, that just ticks me off! So glad you had someone there to help. Wish I was there so I could give you a big hug! :-(
