Jourdanton remains unbeaten in District 30-2A play

JOURDANTON – The Jourdanton Indians knew that playing their game and keeping pace in District 30-2A was a priority for a chance at the playoffs.
After taking the district by storm, the Indians are now sitting comfortably and unbeaten in league play as the second half of district begins this week. The Indians (14-10, 6-0) began the second half of district last night against Cole (results late) and will continue on when they travel to San Antonio and take on Gervin Academy.
Jourdanton extended their win streak to six in a row after steam rolling Dilley 68-47 last Tuesday, January 15.
Jourdanton dominated the inside posting 40 points in the paint and coming up with 17 steals in the win. Guard Caleb Gentry got the most of Dilley scoring a game high 36 points with 7 steals, 3 blocks and 3 assists to lead the Indians. Jourdanton jumped to a 33-26 lead at the half and never looked back. Austin Pesek scored 12 points and led with 8 rebounds. Chris Lopez finished with 10 points.

Jared is an awesome point guard! He did well at BYU basketball camp last summer, and his team is winning in their district. Since this article was published, they've won a couple more games. Their overall record is 16-10, but in league play they are currently 8-0. GO INDIANS!!
