Jared got his picture in the paper again for playing awesome basketball. They may have lost the game, but they played hard!

Yes, Jared got charged with a foul on this play. It just shows how intensely he plays. :)
I have a new brother! Last Saturday, Ian and the other children that were adopted, including Ian's half-sister Nia, went shopping. They had received donations from some generous companies. Yesterday, the adoption was finalized by the state of Texas. The headline of the article says, "Forever Families." How appropriate! As some of you may know, Ian, who is 6 years old, has lived with my parents for over a year. His parents, my cousin and her ex-husband, have made some poor choices and can't be parents anymore. They relinquished their rights several months ago. I'm so glad that Ian is living in a stable home with new parents that love him. He will be raised in the church and have the wonderful blessings that the gospel brings. He is such a fun kid!
This picture isn't from the paper. It's Ian and Carl from when Carl visited last.

That's cool that your parents are adopting him and that you get a new brother!
