Kara's Birthday -- written by Doug

I never cease to amaze my wonderful wife. Just when she thought there was nothing else I could do to impress her, I go and bake her a cake. As part of my birthday present to Kara, I wanted to bake the birthday cake. Not only did I not use a box, or a can of frosting, but I did it all by myself. You probably didn't want to be around during the creation phase of the cake process. It wasn't pretty. Especially when I started getting mad that I couldn't find the beater. But I survived, the kitchen was a tad messy afterwards, but that is part of the fun. Below is my creation of a Carrot Birthday Cake. And it got rave reviews! Not only from Kara, but from Kara's mother, family, and everyone that tasted it. It was tasty enough there isn't any left to share..sorry.

Here is a picture of the birthday girl. We won't say how many candles.
