After we got home from Bass Pro Shops and after dinner, we made gingerbread cookies to decorate. I found a super easy recipe that doesn't have to chill in the fridge forever and ever (a rare thing with cutout cookies), and I made some royal icing. I took out all the sprinkles and colored sugars and let the boys go to town. They had a blast, and I can't wait to do it with them again.
Ian was focused on decorating. He didn't eat one cookie! He wanted to show them to Mom, so he waited until he showed them to Mom before he ate any.
I couldn't help joining in. Decorating cookies is too much fun. :)
I was able to get a picture of Timmy before he ate all his cookies. Amazingly, he didn't finish his cookies until the next morning.
Whose plate do you think this is? I think the star looks like it belongs in a Dora cartoon. What do you think? Should we catch it and put it in the star pocket? "Don't make fun of my cookies!" Ok, honey, I won't make fun of your Dora star. :)
We all had a good time. And the kids helped with the Dora star... I think.

I want that gingerbread cookie recipe if it doesn't have to chill forever! I'm really impatient when it comes to that! Cute cookies
