I'm baking bread right now. I absolutely love homemade bread. I love the way it makes my house smell, and of course, I love the taste. The aroma reminds me of my mother's kitchen when I was growing up. She has a cool Bosch mixer that is perfect for making bread. I don't know how often she made bread, but I remember the beautiful loaves lined up on the baking racks. It was my job to coat the crusts with butter when they came out. I do mine the easy way, with a bread machine. Dump in all the ingredients in the pan, and 3 hours later, the bread is ready. Here's the recipe I'm making now:

It's so yummy.
Timmy's sleep habits are making me crazy. He wakes up so early -- always before 7am, but usually before 6:30am. It isn't enough that he's awake. He has to wake up Tanner too. Since he wakes up so early, he takes a nap most days. He just gets so cranky! Bedtime is usually not a problem at all. Really, it is naptime that is a battle, and I'm torn. Do I let him stay up even though he's so tired and cranky? Or do I fight with him to take a nap so he won't be an irritable bear the rest of the day? I don't know. Timmy is clearly a morning person, as is Doug. Tanner, on the other hand, is definitely not a morning person. He is really grumpy if he is awakened before he's ready. Poor guy. He'll sleep until 8am or later if Timmy will let him. I leave for work by 6:30am, so I'm not the one that has to deal with it, but Doug needs some relief.
Today, I let Timmy skip his nap. He watched a Veggie Tales movie (Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Samson's Hairbrush). He did okay. I've been sick all week. Today was my first day back to work since last Friday. I was so worn out. So, I stretched out on the couch and tried to nap. What a waste of time! Timmy had something to say to me every minute, but for some reason, I kept trying to nap. Very frustrating.
I needed the smell of homemade bread to help me feel better. And we're out of bread. Double duty! I'm feeling better already.

My dad is a hobby beekeeper. I love honey, and I get it for free. You can't beat that! :)
Okay! I'm so crazy busy, but it's really cold today. Well, no THAT cold, but the high is supposed to be 59 and so I'm baking bread now! (:
Yum! Makes me want to do it, but I dont have a bread maker or anything and do not do well with yeast, so I wont be doing that! Sorry to hear about your being sick and the sleeping problems. Hope all is well now!
