No it wasn't popcorn. The dog destroyed his pillow last night. I had no idea that there was so much stuffing inside a pillow! Anyway, here are some cute pictures I took while we were cleaning up the mess.
The boys had a good time. I worry about how they will react when my brother comes to get his dog after he graduates in May. I know it won't be easy for them. We're exploring options for another pet to replace Bo. I'm thinking fish.
the prophet said to plant a garden, so that's what we'll do...
I'm starting to make plans for the garden that we (I) want to start this Spring. I know nothing about gardening. I tried to grow various things in pots over the last few years. Doug always cringes when I start talking about it because it always ended up a waste of money. I'm hoping that it is different growing plants in the ground versus in containers -- easier, I hope. :) Any pointers? Where to start? When to start? Help me!! :) :)

That's so funny about your dog. Good luck on your garden! From my experience and talking to others, Texas does not have very fertile ground for gardening. Everything I grow in the ground dies or does not live long, but I have a lot of success in large barrels or pots. When I have more room I'll try a raised garden bed. Most people here have raised garden beds or large pots they grow things in. And when the label says "full sunlight;" not in Texas. Texas has too much of it and my tomatoes and strawberries always need partial shade to thrive. Well, that's about all I know about gardening so good luck! :)
I found a webpage a long time ago that talked about Texas gardening and had a schedule. I copied and pasted the schedule but I don't remember the web page. Let me know your email and I will send it to you.
That dog is so cute!!!
My inlaws always had perfect gardens - they ARE possible!! The always grew lots of tomatoes and they did great - the key was lots of miracle grow and remembering to water - don't water everyday - watch the plants and see if they're starting to wilt and then water them. Sounds brutal, but it really makes them stronger.
Also, don't grow cucumbers.. for some reason they grow bitter down there.
I'm totally jealous - I'm longing for a garden.. but I think I'm just longing to to see something alive and green rather than all of this stinking snow!
