Ok, I have officially named 2008 the year of change. I'm not sure what other changes will come throughout this year, but the changes have already begun. I am no longer working. It's a long story and I don't want to publish all of it for the world to see. When I was first hired, I enjoyed my job for the most part. Over the last year, though, my job changed a lot, and I didn' t enjoy it as much.
Doug has changed positions at USAA. Formerly, he worked in Mortgage Originations, and now he's working in Mortgage Processing. He is glad to be on a day shift and it's great having him home in the evenings. He's been on the late shift for almost 2 years. This is a good move for him.
So, I'm in the market for a new job. Part time if I can find an evening job that will pay enough. That way, we can keep our kiddos out of childcare. It's more likely, though, that I will be working full time and looking also for full time childcare. (If you know somebody that needs some extra cash for watching a couple of cute boys every day, let me know.)
So, yes. Things are changing for our family in 2008. Let's just pray that all these changes are for the better. :)
