I Want Ice Cream

Blue Bell has a new flavor called Candy Jar. It sounds so good... but painful. My body is so happy that I stopped eating dairy products. I haven't cut out all dairy -- just the stuff high in lactose, like milk and cream (and that means ice cream). Eventually, I'll be able to have a little bit, maybe with some Lactaid pills or something.

But for now, I'm feeling much, much better. The Costco brand soy milk is pretty good. It's even better blended up with some ice cubes, fresh Texas blueberries, and a tiny bit of sugar (I got some yummy organic evaporated cane juice sugar...)

I really want a tall glass of ice cold milk (preferably 2%) or a scoop of ice cream. But I don't want the pain that comes with it.

In other news:

• I rejoined Gold's Gym yesterday. When my membership expired in March, I thought I would do just fine exercising at home. Well, I didn't. I need to go somewhere else. I can always find something else to do at home. Plus, Tanner is bigger now, and hopefully he will actually go to the childcare at the gym now. It also doesn't hurt that Doug's employer pays for the membership. :)
• There is a lot of drama in my extended family right now. I'm not going to discuss the details, but please keep my family in your prayers.
• I have to work on my birthday. I'm bummed about that, but I should have requested it off, so it's my own fault. :(
• Darlene's getting married on Saturday! Yay Darlene and Gil!
• Our friends, Greg & Katie have adopted a beautiful baby girl, Natalie. I can't wait to meet her! It's been a long wait, and we're all thrilled that such a wonderful family has a new addition. Congrats, Greg, Katie, Ella & Natalie!!
