On Saturday, I attended a birthday party for my Nanny. She is my mom's mom, and she's awesome. :) It was fun to see so many family members that I don't get to see very often. While I was there, my uncle told me that I had a tire that was a little low. I saw it, and I agreed that it looked low, but, of course, I forgot about that when it was time to leave. I drove home.
Sunday afternoon, we drove my car to church. I still hadn't remembered anything about the low tire... Without any symptoms or any indication that he wasn't feeling well, Timmy vomited in the middle of his Primary classroom at church. So, we left church early. As I was walking out to the car, I remembered about the tire, because I saw it and it looked low. On the way home, we stopped at a gas station to air up the tire.
This morning I went to HEB for a few groceries. I stopped to get gas and a car wash. I'm never getting another car wash at HEB. My car is still dirty! What did I pay for? Oh yeah, a car wash, and yet my car is not clean. Isn't that the purpose of a car wash -- a clean car??? After the "car wash," I drove home. I didn't really think about the tire at all. After putting the groceries away, I went to put the grocery bags back in the car. (That's where they belong... If they aren't in the car, I forget to take them to the store, and then I feel bad for using the regular plastic bags because I PAID for cool reusable ones...) I just happened to look at the tire because I was noticing how I can't park straight... Anyway, the darn thing was flat again. Flatter than before.
Doug came home from work on time. That's a miracle in itself. He had a hard time getting the tire off because the tire iron that came with the car doesn't really fit the lug nuts very well. Isn't that lovely? So, we called our wonderful home teacher, and between the two of them, and three tire irons, they were able to get the sad, flat tire off of the car and get the donut onto the car.
Long story short: over $200 later, I have 2 new tires. Yay.
